HR/People Operations Manager

As we continue our impressive growth trend, we are seeking a full-time HR/People Operations Manager to join our team.

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Full cycle recruiting for all positions, including onboarding
  • Provide performance management including training, coaching, career development, & corrective action
  • Manage schedules & time off requests; allocate resources across departments based on company’s dynamic needs and advise on workforce & succession planning
  • Manage administration and compliance for worker’s comp, unemployment, FMLA, etc.
  • Lead the safety committee, ensure health & safety of employees
  • Administer payroll and benefits including open enrollment, contract negotiations, and vendor management
  • Manage & resolve complex employee relations issues; conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Stay current and advise key stakeholders on employment law and best practices; provide HR policy guidance and interpretation
  • Additional duties as assigned

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years progressive experience in Human Resource Management in roles such as Generalist, Director, or Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP)
  • Proven success as a one-person department
  • 5+ years leadership and people management experience
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Must be a self-starter / motivated with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Skills & Abilities

  • SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, or SHRM-CP preferred

This position requires on-site attendance Monday-Friday with emergency on-call requirements.
