With a clever use of five-inch squares, the log cabin blocks are easy to make with thirty-two dark and twenty-eight light squares, complemented by the red center, borders, and binding. For sharp, crisp star points, the Creative Grids Strippy Star Tool is used to create floating points, ensuring precision even after adding the binding.

Tip: Eliminate the math by cutting the strips using the line down the center of
any of the Creative Grids 2-1/2" wide rectangles. This white line is at the 1-1/4" mark, the width of the strips needed to make the mini block.
