Not enough material

This is a soft beautiful flannel. Because this is backing for a baby quilt and most likely will be washed I did wash and dry the backing. In order for it to work as a backing and be large enough for long arm quilting I had to lay its grain 90 degrees from quilt grain. Probably a full 3 yards would have been a better choice.
