Pellon 551 Sol-U-Film is a water-soluble stabilizing backing designed to support embroidery while allowing your fabric to retain its natural hand. Ideal for machine embroidery, appliqué, cutwork, and monogramming, it’s especially helpful on specialty fabrics like piqué, sportswear, and net, as well as over napped surfaces such as velvet and terrycloth to prevent stitches from sinking. The translucent film makes positioning easy, and it dissolves quickly and completely in water for a clean, professional finish. Sold by the yard.
