Fly Away Log Cabin Pattern

Designed by Jean Ann Wright for Cut Loose Press, these log cabins are created with a 1" finished center square surrounded by 1” finished strips. By reducing the size of the center square, 7" finished log cabin blocks (or any odd numbered) block can be created with this pattern. Jean Ann Wright tells you how!

Tip: Eliminate the math by cutting the strips using the center line on any of the Creative Grids 3-1/2" wide rectangles. This white line is at the 1-3/4" mark: the width of the strips needed for this project.

This quilt finishes to approximately 54" x 68".
