Clover Sewing & Quilting Notions

Clover Tools for Quilting, Sewing & Creative Projects

The right sewing tool can make a familiar task more comfortable and help you approach a new technique with confidence. Clover offers tools for holding fabric layers, preparing appliqué, marking stitching lines, shaping corners, and managing the small details that go into a finished project. Build your sewing toolkit around the steps you use most often, or choose the specific notion recommended in your patterns and books.

Hold Fabric Layers with Clover Wonder Clips & Pins

Clover Wonder Clips hold fabric edges together without piercing the material, making them useful for quilt binding, bag construction, and projects with several layers. Mini Wonder Clips offer a smaller option for detailed work and tighter spaces.

For patchwork and fabric positioning, explore Clover’s quilting pins, Flower Head Pins, and Appliqué Pins. Choose a pin style that suits your fabric and technique, and remove pins before the sewing machine needle reaches them. You can also browse our broader selection of sewing pins and clips to find the right option for your project.

Mark Fabric for Cutting, Stitching & Appliqué

Clover marking tools provide different ways to transfer guidelines to fabric. The Hera Marker creates a crease rather than an ink or chalk line, while Chaco Liners, marking pencils, and marking pens offer visible guides for specific applications.

Choose your marking tool according to the fabric color, surface, and removal method. Always test it on a scrap of your project fabric and follow the product’s instructions before marking your quilt top or appliqué pieces.

Prepare Bias Tape & Appliqué Details

Clover Bias Tape Makers help fold fabric strips into consistent widths for projects that call for bias tape. Making your own allows you to select a fabric that complements your quilt, bag, or decorative sewing project. Check the maker’s finished tape width and required strip width before cutting your fabric.

Press Seams, Shape Corners & Guide Fabric

Clover Hot Hemmers and Hot Rulers provide measuring guides for pressing hems and folds. The Roll & Press offers a convenient way to flatten seams locally without heat between sewing steps. It can be helpful at your sewing station, while an iron remains useful for the pressing required by your pattern.

The Point 2 Point Turner helps shape corners and smooth seams after turning a sewn project right side out. Use gentle pressure to avoid pushing through the fabric. Explore more pressing and ironing supplies to complete your workspace.

Needle Threaders & Hand Sewing Accessories

Clover needle threaders, thimbles, and needle storage accessories support hand sewing, embroidery, and finishing work. Different threaders accommodate different needle types and eye sizes, so check compatibility before choosing one for your sewing kit. Pair your tools with suitable sewing and embroidery needles for the fabric and thread you plan to use.

Specialty Tools for Fabric Strips & Embellishments

The Clover Fabric Tube Maker folds fabric strips and batting together to prepare stitched tubes for projects such as fabric rugs and baskets. It is a folding tool rather than a tool for turning sewn tubes inside out.

Clover Quick Yo-Yo Makers help create gathered fabric embellishments for decorative projects. These specialty notions offer ways to turn favorite fabrics and leftover pieces into something new.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are Clover sewing and quilting notions?
Clover notions are tools and accessories used for sewing, quilting, embroidery, and other fabric crafts. The selection includes fabric clips, pins, marking tools, needle threaders, pressing tools, and specialty project tools.

What is the difference between Wonder Clips and Mini Wonder Clips?
Mini Wonder Clips are smaller than standard Wonder Clips, making them useful for detailed work and smaller areas. Standard Wonder Clips are a versatile choice for holding binding and layered fabric edges.

Does a Clover Hera Marker use ink?
No. A Hera Marker creates a crease in the fabric instead of depositing ink or chalk. Test it on a scrap to see how clearly the crease shows on your chosen material.

Can the Clover Roll & Press replace an iron?
The Roll & Press can flatten seams locally without heat, which is useful between stitching steps. Use an iron when your project calls for heat pressing or a more thorough press.

Which Clover Bias Tape Maker size should I choose?
Choose the size based on the finished tape width your project requires. Follow the individual maker’s instructions for cutting the correct strip width and preparing the tape.

Will every Clover needle threader work with every needle?
No. Compatibility varies by threader and needle eye size. Check the product description and instructions to select a threader suited to your needles and thread.
