Grandma's Flower Garden & 108-inch Backings by Laundry Basket Quilts

Traditional Flower Garden Patchwork, Printed on Fabric

Grandma's Flower Garden by Laundry Basket Quilts brings the familiar beauty of hexagon flower blocks to fabric by the yard. The design recalls traditional English paper piecing, with flower shapes arranged to create an inviting patchwork effect.

The hexagons are printed directly on the fabric, so you can enjoy this detailed look without assembling individual hexagon pieces. Use the print as a feature fabric for a smaller project, incorporate it into a quilt design, or choose the wide version for a backing that is beautiful in its own right.

Five Colorways in Two Fabric Widths

Each of the collection’s five colorways is offered in both 44-inch and 108-inch widths:

• Primrose: Pretty pinks for a soft, feminine look.
• Mountain Blue: Beautiful blue tones for classic projects.
• Robin’s Egg: Soft teal for a gentle touch of color.
• Thyme: Pretty green tones for a fresh, inviting palette.
• Flax: Ivories, light tans, and taupes for a versatile neutral option.

Choose your favorite colorway for the project front, the backing, or complementary pieces throughout your home.

Choose 44-inch Fabric for Smaller Projects & Quilt Designs

The 44-inch fabrics have SKU numbers beginning with A9849. This standard quilting width is a useful option for pillows, table runners, wall hangings, and quilt designs that feature the printed patchwork.

Explore table runner patterns, wall hanging patterns, and quilt patterns and books for inspiration. Check the pattern’s fabric requirements and consider how its cutting instructions will showcase the printed flower garden design.

Choose 108-inch Fabric for a Patchwork-Look Quilt Backing

The 108-inch versions have SKU numbers beginning with AW. Their generous width makes them especially useful for quilt backs, where the printed hexagon design adds interest and color.

A wide backing can reduce the need to join narrower lengths of fabric, depending on your quilt’s dimensions. Before ordering, account for the extra backing your quilting method or longarm quilter requires.
