Discover Upcoming Quilt Fabric Collections

Our Coming Soon selection gives you a first look at fabrics and projects planned for Shabby Fabrics. Explore everything from expressive florals and everyday blenders to Christmas, Halloween, autumn, and patriotic collections. Preview the prints and palettes together to start imagining your next quilt, table runner, wall hanging, or handmade gift.

Discover upcoming designs from brands such as Moda Fabrics, Riley Blake Designs, Andover Fabrics, and P&B Textiles. The selection changes as new collections are added and products become available.

Preview Yardage, Panels, and Coordinating Precuts

Depending on the collection, upcoming fabrics may include yardage, panels, Fat Quarter Bundles, Fat Eighth Bundles, Jelly Rolls, Layer Cakes, Charm Packs, and Mini Charm Packs. Selected collections also offer wide quilt backings.

Manufacturers use different names for familiar precut sizes. Five-inch squares may be called Charm Packs or 5-inch Stackers, while 10-inch squares may be called Layer Cakes or 10-inch Stackers. Wilmington Prints calls these sizes 5-Carat Crystals and 10-Carat Crystals. Its 40-Carat Crystals contain 2½-inch strips, the same strip width commonly used in Jelly Roll projects.

Check each product listing for its dimensions, piece count, and available formats before planning your project.

Request an Alert for Your Favorite Items

See something you love? Use the notification option on the individual item to request an alert when it becomes available. Request notifications separately for the yardage, precuts, panels, or kits you are interested in.

An availability notification does not reserve inventory or place an order. Check the product listing for the latest estimated arrival information, and remember that manufacturer schedules can change.

Start Planning Your Next Project

While you wait for your favorite collection, explore our patterns and books to choose a project and review its fabric requirements. Planning ahead helps you determine which focal prints, backgrounds, precuts, and backing fabrics you will need.

You can also find instruction and inspiration in our free downloads and video tutorials. Browse techniques and project ideas, then return to your favorite upcoming collection with a plan in mind.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Coming Soon mean at Shabby Fabrics?
Coming Soon identifies fabrics and products expected to become available in the future. These listings let you preview upcoming designs and plan projects before the items arrive.

How can I find out when an item becomes available?
Select “Notify me when this item becomes available!” on the item you want and follow the signup instructions. Request an alert for each item you are interested in.

Does signing up for a notification reserve the fabric?
No. An availability alert does not reserve inventory, purchase the item, or create a preorder.

Where can I find the estimated arrival date?
Check the individual product description for estimated arrival information when provided. Arrival estimates may change as manufacturers update their schedules.

Does every upcoming collection include precuts?
No. Available formats vary by collection. Check the listings to see whether a collection includes yardage, panels, precuts, wide backings, or kits.

Can I start planning a project before the fabric arrives?
Yes. Choose a pattern, review its fabric requirements, and identify the prints and coordinating fabrics you would like to use. Confirm product dimensions and availability before finalizing your purchases.

Frequently Asked Questions About Coming Soon Quilt Fabric Collections & Precuts

How do I know when a new fabric collection will be available to buy?

Each fabric in our Coming Soon fabric collections has the estimated arrival date listed at the bottom of the description. This is updated as the date approaches to be as accurate as possible.

What are the advantages of using a 108" wide backing fabric?

Some advantages of using a 108" wide backing fabric instead of piecing one using standard width fabric is the time it saves. You don't have to spend the time and effort piecing fabric together into the right size for your quilt. The finished look tends to be cleaner without any distracting seams, and 108" backing fabric often takes advantage of its size, featuring large images that wouldn't be possible to achieve with standard size fabrics.
